48 Woerd Avenue

Capitalizing on the rapidly developing area, BKA was hired by The Hilco Group to reposition its dated and disjointed office/lab building at 48 Woerd Avenue. The project goals were to accommodate the expansion of the sole tenant, Olympus Technologies and evoke their vibrant branding image. The project called for removing a portion of the existing building to allow for a renewed street presence while providing a connection to the main entrance through focal points.

The construction of a ‘glass box’ and new entry portal which is flanked by the Olympus Blue feature wall, draws inspiration from the technologically renowned tenant. The result is a cohesive, well-landscaped, signature aesthetic that reinvigorates a marvelous, riverfront site.
