Vicente’s Supermarket
Brockton, MA
Obviously, access to quality food is a requirement for human survival. But have you guessed that a “food desert” existed 20 miles from Boston? After decades of decay in the heart of Brockton, community leaders decided it was time for a change. A federal program assisted a local supermarket owner to expand the business to a defunct market in an under-serviced neighborhood. Leadership recognized BKA’s commitment to Brockton’s revitalization and together the team developed a fresh and exciting exterior for the new tropical market. The government’s health initiative and pro-growth incentives were strengthened with a new community health center adjacent to the colorful market.
