Cape Cod Community College Nursing Lab

BKA worked closely with Cape Cod Community College and transformed five traditional classrooms to create a dynamic learning environment for their nursing students. The new state of the art lab offers critical care simulation rooms, exam rooms, nursing and allied health simulation labs, along with formal and informal discussion spaces. Glass is used throughout the space to enhance the visibility and observation of multi-group student assignments and create a more open interactive environment. The central location of the nursing station and lab coordinator’s office creates a hub, dividing the allied health and nursing lab space.  A painted soffit, along with specialty light fixtures in the hub area provides a relaxed atmosphere for informal discussions, medication administration training and documentation exercises.
